The public comparison experience does not require an account and does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Standard hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps for security and reliability.
Contributor accounts and submissions
The public comparison experience does not require an account. If you choose to sign in with Google to suggest a tool, Supabase Authentication receives your Google account identifier and email address. We store your account identifier with the product details, links, and notes you submit so the editorial team can review the suggestion, prevent abuse, and maintain an audit trail. Submissions remain private unless their product facts are independently reviewed and published.
Infrastructure
Public tool profiles, contributor accounts, and pending submissions are stored with Supabase. The browser receives only data allowed by public or user-specific access policies. Site hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical request data under their own terms.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics 4 is delivered through Google Tag Manager only after you allow optional analytics. It can record page views, scrolls, outbound link clicks, referring pages, approximate location, and browser or device information. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga. Advertising storage, ad personalisation, and ad-user-data consent remain disabled. You can decline analytics on your first visit or change your choice at any time with the Analytics settings control in the footer.
Retention and questions
Contributor account and submission records are retained while they are needed for editorial review, abuse prevention, and the integrity of the research record. Operational logs are retained only as needed for security, debugging, and service delivery.
